Description Job Title: Commodities Coordinator Location: Plainfield, IN Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Job Summary: The Commodities Coordinator will work alongside members of the facility Operations team to help plan, direct, and coordinate commodities inventory and shipment. This role supports reporting, quality control, logistics coordination, and documentation to ensure efficient and accurate operations. Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Create daily and weekly commodities reports for management Conduct quality control to ensure minimal contamination of commodities Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence (mail, email, faxes) Develop knowledge of commodities stored and sold and help educate team members Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders Record shipment data including weights, charges, damages, and discrepancies Collaborate with the Logistics department to resolve issues such as shortages or nonconformance Maintain accurate records for reporting, accounting, and inventory tracking Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in a related field preferred Required Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Experience with product testing and quality assurance preferred Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively Data entry and spreadsheet management skills, including creating graphs and pivot tables Ability to assist with budgeting and cost/revenue tracking Strong problem-solving and customer service skills Ability to learn proprietary systems and software Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, and turning Core Competencies: Attention to Detail: Accurately analyzes data and resolves issues in a timely manner Interpersonal Skills: Communicates effectively and builds strong working relationships across teams Self-Management: Completes tasks on time, follows safety procedures, and demonstrates accountability Organizational Awareness: Respects diversity, promotes a positive work environment, and aligns with company values Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Work performed in a plant environment with exposure to dust, noise, and machinery Frequent walking, bending, and repetitive hand use required Location Assemblix Staffing This position is currently accepting applications.
