Software Engineer I (API)

REQUIRED - MUST have a current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance to apply for role. Only those with a current TS/SCI with Poly clearance will be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The software engineer will provide the development, test, deploy, and sustainment of various Python based ReST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends.
- The developer will provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
- Modify existing software to correct errors to improve its performance.
Required Experience:
- Python
- Experienced using Django or Flask
- Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB
- ReST endpoint development
- Micro service model
Desired Experience:
- Swagger
- AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
- Docker
- Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs
- JSON and/or XML serialization
