Senior Technical Program Manager
This role is for an experienced and highly driven Senior Technical Program Manager to lead strategic, cross‑functional programs that drive the design, development, and delivery of cloud‑based software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in computer science or electrical engineering, combined with proven experience managing complex software initiatives at scale within cloud environments.
Location & Work Arrangement
This role is remote; however the candidate(s) will be expected to relocate at their own expense to our onsite Houston location by Q1 2027. (Q1 2027 is an approximate timeframe and is subject to change at any time.)
Responsibilities
Lead large‑scale, complex cloud software development programs from concept through delivery.
Partner closely with engineering, product, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment, efficiency, and timely delivery.
Develop and manage program schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring on‑time and high‑quality execution.
Drive cross‑functional communication and alignment between technical and business stakeholders.
Identify and resolve program‑level risks, conflicts, and interdependencies proactively.
Champion continuous improvement and scalable processes across teams to optimize execution and delivery.
Provide executive‑level visibility through reporting, dashboards, and structured program governance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
7–10 years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, including managing enterprise‑scale or cloud software programs.
Proven experience developing software and/or managing programs in cloud software development (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
Demonstrated adoption of AI‑powered tools or agents as part of daily professional workflows, driving efficiency and improved decision‑making.
Travel may be required up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing AI‑driven software development.
Relevant domain experience in the renewable energy industry, especially in the grid services and utilities.
Industry certifications such as CSM, SAFe, PMP or equivalent certificates.
Experience working in a multi‑time‑zone, multi‑cultural environment.
The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
