Position: Application Developer
Duration: 6+ month contract
Work Location: United States/ Remote - EST or CST work hours
Pay: $60 - $65 / hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality code for web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Support, enhance, and maintain existing applications and system integrations
- Develop and maintain ETL processes and related documentation
- Gather business requirements and contribute across the full development lifecycle (analysis, development, testing, and deployment)
- Stay current with emerging technologies to ensure applications remain modern and competitive
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Swift
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design (RDBMS)
- Experience working with the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, VB.NET)
- Understanding of application integrations and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Experience with workflow, time/billing, or financial systems (e.g., GL, AP) is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a team environment
