Position: Delivery Assurance and Special Processes Program Manager
Location: Newington, CT
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Frequency: Assessment 40 hours for a few weeks and then 2-3 days per week
Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities:
- Review planning process and identify bottlenecks and opportunities to reduce leadtime.
- Perform root cause analysis on delays and identify potential solutions to fix the issues
- Develop and communicate weekly and daily manufacturing schedule to ensure delivery on time.
- Create and maintain Work In Process (WIP) reports. Statusing/expediting of parts through repair cycle.
- Host and set-up meetings with supplier and customer.
- Provide technical support and guidance when necessary
- Support special treatment process qualification and ensure steps are followed and requirements are met.
- Be the main focal between the supplier and the customer
- Provide a critical view on process and technical requirements and suggest new ways potential ways of working
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years experience in aerospace or energy gas turbine
- Experience in operations management and/or program management
- Experience with special process qualification process
- Experience in lean and continuous improvement
- Experience in a supervisor/line management role will be considered an asset
- Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
- Experience using the problem solving methodologies and tools: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products. A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
- Ability to indluence and gain buy-in in challenging situations with a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate at all level of organisation
- Expert (role model) that can work with no supervision.
- Open mind and creativity to bring new ideas and questions current methodology and requirement.
