About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Tableau Developer to join a leading banking client, with strong expertise in data visualization, data modeling, SQL, and Python
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable data solutions, delivering impactful dashboards, and enabling data-driven decision-making across key banking functions such as risk, compliance, operations, and customer analytics
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive, high-performance Tableau dashboards and reports
- Translate business requirements into intuitive data visualizations and insights
- Build and maintain robust data models for reporting and analytics
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for large-scale datasets
- Utilize Python for data processing, automation, and advanced analytics
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams
- Optimize dashboard performance and ensure best practices in visualization
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance standards
- Support use cases across banking domains like risk, fraud, compliance, and operations
- Mentor junior developers and drive best practices in BI development
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server
- Expertise in data modeling (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, CTEs, query optimization)
- Strong Python programming skills (Pandas, NumPy, data manipulation)
- Experience working with large and complex datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience in banking or financial services domain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating Tableau with Python/R for advanced analytics
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipelines
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of banking regulations like AML, Basel, IFRS
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
