Position Overview:
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise that strengthens product and process quality across multiple operational teams within Polaris. You will manage the quality program for your assigned processes, applying both proactive and reactive approaches to address issues and drive improvements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with production, suppliers, and cross‑functional partners to resolve problems and elevate quality performance. This is a compelling opportunity to influence business outcomes through hands‑on ownership of critical quality systems and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action activities for assigned processes.
• Manage quality programs for designated operations, including developing quality instructions, procedures, and process validations.
• Coordinate inspection and containment activities for discrepant or suspect parts with suppliers or third‑party partners when required.
• Develop, track, and report process quality metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Conduct Six Sigma Measurement System Analysis (MSA/GR&R), process capability studies, and Design of Experiments (DOE) as needed.
• Support production teams in effective use of measurement systems and provide guidance on testing and inspection methods.
• Participate in new product launch teams and contribute quality engineering expertise to ensure robust processes.
• Support internal audits and product transfers as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Five or more years of experience in quality engineering, process engineering, or a closely related field.
• Previous experience in automotive or similar assembly environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Six Sigma methods and tools, including PFMEA, Control Plans, RCCA (8D), DOE, PPAP, GD&T, and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with measurement systems common to assembly processes, including torque tools and data gathering/reporting.
• Ability to lead technicians and collaborate effectively with production teams.
• Ability to travel based on business need.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $89,000 to $117,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
