Qualifications
RS&H is seeking an experienced and motivated mid-career Aviation Consultant to help lead projects and drive strategic growth within our Aviation Market from Denver, Colorado.
We are looking for a professional with strong analytical and communication skills, a passion for aviation, and a desire to help airport owners navigate change and deliver meaningful outcomes. In this role, you will take on challenging technical assignments, contribute to discrete planning tasks, and lead airport master plans and on-call planning engagements across the United States. As part of our Aviation Consulting Services team, you will support airport clients nationwide through project leadership, technical expertise, and mentorship. You will have opportunities to win work, manage diverse planning projects, perform technical analyses, and help shape the future of aviation planning at RS&H.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead airport planning projects, including master plans, on-call assignments, and specialized planning studies involving airfield, terminal, landside, and support facilities.
• Develop technical analyses, documentation, and presentations that clearly communicate planning concepts.
• Support business development through proposal development, client engagement, and maintaining strong relationships within the aviation community.
• Mentor junior staff through coaching, quality reviews, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions for our clients.
Qualifications
• Deep understanding of the U.S. airport industry and established relationships within the airport or aviation consulting community.
• Demonstrated experience managing airport planning projects of varying scale and complexity.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in planning, Aviation Management, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, partners, and team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and GIS software.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical understanding of airport planning principles, FAA guidelines, and airfield/airport facility geometry.
• Graphic layout skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and/or GIS) are highly valued.
• AICP or AAAE CM certifications are a plus but not required.

Typical salary range for this position in Denver is $126,000 - $180,000 and commensurate with experience relative to the position.
