Job description Recruitment and Enrollment Associate Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373 Schedule: In-person; evenings/weekends required as needed Term: Pilot role through September 2026 (with potential to convert to permanent) About the Role Forte Preparatory Academy Charter School is seeking a Recruitment and Enrollment Associate to help grow our applicant pipeline and guide families from first contact through enrollment during a critical period of school expansion. This is a highly relational, fast-paced role for someone who enjoys community outreach, data-driven follow-up, and meeting clear enrollment goals. You’ll move seamlessly between on-the-ground recruitment (community events, school outreach) and behind-the-scenes enrollment operations (lead tracking, family follow-up), knowing that every application directly impacts students’ futures. About Forte Prep Forte Preparatory Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades 5–12 in Northwest Queens (Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona). Our mission is to equip all students to become the next generation of leaders through academic excellence, strong partnerships with families, and a deep commitment to equity and community. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Outreach Lead recruitment for priority grades (especially 5th, 9th, and 10th) Represent Forte Prep at community events, school dismissals, and outreach activities Coordinate staff, ambassadors, and volunteers for recruitment events Collaborate with Communications on digital recruitment efforts Enrollment Operations Follow up with leads, waitlists, and applicants to fill open seats Support reenrollment and new student onboarding Partner with school teams to increase 9th-grade matriculation Maintain a high-touch, family-centered enrollment experience Community Partnerships & Data Build relationships with local schools, CBOs, and community partners Organize info sessions and workshops with partner organizations Manage lead data, outreach touchpoints, and enrollment metrics Track progress toward recruitment and enrollment goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 2+ years of experience in recruitment, enrollment, community organizing, sales, or related field Spanish fluency required Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills Comfortable working toward numeric goals and using data daily Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $60,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience, prorated for the duration of the pilot period (through September 2026) Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) matching; parental leave; tuition reimbursement; smartphone; and laptop.
