JobSummary:
The Program Manager will oversee the telecommunications team'sproject portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This roleleads a team of regional project coordinators responsible for maintainingproject schedules, tracking costs, managing materials, and handling IT changetickets. Additionally, the Program Manager will develop processes and tools toconsolidate project data, identify risks across projects and portfolios, andprovide clear, direct communication to the Telecom management team.
JobDuties and Responsibilities:
• PortfolioManagement
• Maintaina comprehensive list of all projects across telecommunications portfolios andprovide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Trackfinancial performance across the portfolio to ensure targets are met.
• Resource& Forecasting
• Monitorthe Power BI resource dashboard and report on forecasting and resourceallocation.
• Process& Tool Development
• Designand implement tools for tracking schedules, materials, costs, and IT changetickets.
• Providedirection and oversight to ensure Project Coordinators accurately maintainthese tools.
• Reporting& Communication
• Deliverregular updates to telecommunications management on overall portfolio health,success metrics, and potential issues.
• RiskManagement
• Identify,track, and mitigate project risks or obstacles to maintain delivery timelinesand quality.
Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Basic or Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Requires (10) years of Project Controls orProject Management related experience.
• Must be able to effectively communicate withproject stakeholders and upper management.
• Requires a basic working knowledge of projectmanagement software, specifically Primavera P6, Power BI, and Excel.
• Requires the ability to manage multipleprojects and determine priorities.
• Must be a skilled writer.
• Must understand the basic principles ofproject management.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams anddrive process improvements
• Requires a general understanding of CostManagement, Estimating and Change Control.
• Candidate must reside within a reasonablecommuting distance to work location. Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must provide a coverletter regarding intentions to relocate to be considered.
• Must have a high degree of computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior cost control experience preferred.
• Proven experience in program or portfoliomanagement within telecommunications or a related field.
WorkingConditions:
• Work is conducted in an office environment(Private or Semi-Private Office) on an active construction site.
• Field duties require outdoor work in a plant orconstruction atmosphere
• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel
• Working plant, construction, and/or shop areasaround production machinery with extreme noise levels
• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection
• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes
• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.
