The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of Analysis Group's cloud and collaboration platforms, with a primary focus on Azure infrastructure and Microsoft 365. This role requires an experienced engineer who can independently lead and execute projects end-to-end, with minimal oversight, across both Azure and M365 environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience automating server management in Azure and leading M365 initiatives such as migrating on-premises services (e.g., distribution lists) to the cloud.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
- Independently manage Azure infrastructure projects, including:
- Automating patching and update processes for Windows and Linux servers.
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Plan and execute Microsoft 365 projects with minimal guidance, including:
- Supporting and optimizing Exchange Online, Entra ID (Azure AD), and related M365 components.
- Collaborate with Information Security to ensure systems are patched, secure, and compliant with internal standards.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues using tools such as SolarWinds.
- Maintain and improve backup procedures for both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation, system inventories, and architecture diagrams.
- Manage cloud asset inventories, including technical specifications and lifecycle documentation.
- Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents through the ServiceNow queue.
- Work to securely send and receive data to and from clients.
Qualifications- Minimum of 4 years' substantive work experience required.
- An ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience, with demonstrated ownership of production systems required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong, practical experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 required, including independently delivering projects from planning through execution.
- Proven experience automating server management and patching in Azure environments.
- Experience migrating on-premises services (e.g., distribution lists, identity-related components) to Microsoft 365.
- Solid understanding of information security standards, patching practices, and operational best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Windows system administration and security; Linux experience required.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Atlassian products is a plus.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment; familiarity with Jira is helpful.

Analysis Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000-$145,000. Compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including work experience, education, and skill level.
