DescriptionMain Purpose of the Role:The Business Process and Yield Specialist (BPYS) is the driving force for managing improvement initiatives across the organization to deliver business benefits. The specialist will direct multiple projects, assist in development of staff and play a key role in influencing change within and across business units. Communication and liaison with staff at all levels throughout the organization to influence desired improvement outcomes is a key requirement for the role. The BPYS will create and maintain a reputation as the internal consultant of choice by senior management for problem solving and/or design initiatives.
Major Areas of Responsibility:The Business Process and Yield Specialist is a shared service resource to support the organization in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to optimize services, revenue generation, cost containment/reduction and value-added services.
Main Tasks:- Proactively identify, scope and prepare business cases for opportunities to improve processes, optimize revenue and reduce expenses in conjunction with process owners/managers
- Monitor, develop metrics and report business process performance against accepted standards and KPI's.
- Identify benefits realization targets and ensure these are achieved on each project.
- Develop and support data capture and data management processes for core systems to support the delivery of identified projects.
- Maintain weekly/monthly status reports to key stakeholders tracking the status of the improvement project.
- Define scope, plan and manage project delivery.
- Ensure risks and issues are identified and communicated in a timely fashion.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to resolve complex issues and avoid risks to the project.
- Ensure the key stakeholders are kept informed across relevant project activities and the effective operational hand-over of the project to the responsible functional manager(s).
- Communicate effectively with impacted staff and stakeholders and manage change in coordination with involved stakeholders and their designated team members.
- Promote cross functional synergies that yield great savings/revenue at all appropriate opportunities
- Utilize metrics to monitor and improve yield projects/programs and look for efficiency gains and improved benchmark performance through joint problem solving.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and/or stakeholders to create financial models, tools and reporting interfaces that will provide a platform for improved yield decision making.
Requirements• Minimum of bachelor's level qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Economics or related fields.
• Ability to perform effectively within budgetary guidelines and is decisive and confident, with the ability to energize others.
• Some experience working with major finance and asset systems (preferably SAP).
• High level computer literacy with Microsoft suite, statistical analysis programs and MS Project.
