Claims Adjustor - Marine Cargo
We're seeking a Claims Adjustor to manage cargo-related loss events and moderate-scale claims, while identifying and mitigating risks in sea freight operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and manage cargo carriage risks to prevent damage or legal exposure
- Develop procedures and deliver training to reduce incident likelihood
- Handle and investigate cargo incidents to minimize financial and legal impact
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (agents, lawyers, surveyors)
- Negotiate moderate-scale claims and pursue recovery from liable third parties
- Prepare reports and insights for management decision-making
RequirementsWe are looking for:
- Academic education - a must
- Experience in shipping agency or operations related matters - an advantage
- Experience in law of torts- an advantage
- Experience in insurance- an advantage
- High level of English language (Speaking, reading and writing)
- Negotiation skills - an advantage
- IT oriented - an advantage
