Position SummaryThe Master Electrician (MRPT) is a senior-level technical professional responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities in support of a U.S. government contract. This position is
contingent upon contract award. The role requires extensive expertise in electrical systems, codes, and regulatory compliance. The Master Electrician provides leadership to electrical teams and ensures all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, federal regulations, and Department of State (DOS) requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan, supervise, and execute complex electrical installations, maintenance, and repair operations
- Lead and manage teams of electricians and apprentices, ensuring proper training and task execution
- Serve as the technical authority for electrical systems and infrastructure
- Ensure full compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, federal regulations, and DOS requirements
- Manage electrical projects from initial planning through final completion and inspection
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory standards
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical system issues in a timely and safe manner
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Prepare and maintain required documentation, reports, and records
Required Qualifications- Active MRPT Clearance (required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Master Electrician License
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Master Electrician or in a senior electrical leadership role
- Demonstrated experience supervising electrical personnel on commercial, industrial, or government facilities
- Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a secure, regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting U.S. government or Department of State (DOS) contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Work Environment and ConditionsThis position requires work in secure government facilities and adherence to all applicable security, safety, and compliance protocols. The role may involve physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces, as required to perform job duties.
