Under general direction from the Actuary Senior and assigned lead actuaries, performs actuarial duties, within assigned timeframes, related to life, health and property & casualty insurance companies' insurance forms, rates and reserves. Duties include: verifying and summarizing actuarial correspondence and data obtained from authorized insurers, creating and using actuarial software and spreadsheets, applying computer skills and communication skills in a team-based process, reading and applying California laws and regulations applicable to actuarial calculation.
This recruitment may be used to fill multiple vacancies in the this location.
Students are permitted to work up to a maximum of 1500 hours within a 12-month period from their initial appointment. If selected, the employee will receive an hourly compensation based on the number of hours worked.
This position requires current enrollment in college and proof of enrollment must be submitted when applying to this recruitment.
