Madison facility.
SALARY: $18.00/hr. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Graphic Design Internship position will support and assist the Marketing department in creating engaging visual communications across digital and print media, including the following initiatives: content marketing projects, visual storytelling, digital asset management and PowerPoint presentation support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Assist in the creation of engaging/informative social content, flyers, and other print/digital content
- Assist with digital asset management by uploading photo/video assets and tagging them to organize
- Support the Marketing and Community & Economic Development Team (CED) in the creation of PowerPoint presentations that provide updates, technical assistance, and impactful storytelling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visual storytelling that brings clarity to complex products, processes, and/or data to build understanding, demonstrate impact, and enhance stakeholder experience
- Assist in delivering a better user experience on the external website and internal intranet using UI/UX skills
- Adhere to brand standards and guidelines
- Performs or assists with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:- Undergraduate majoring in graphic design, information design, or marketing communications. Open to other majors not listed that demonstrate clear communication skills and visual design ability
- Portfolio and/or examples of creative design and visual storytelling work produced (student, professional, or personal) to demonstrate qualifications are requested
- Valid Driver's License Preferred (will be commuting to WHEDA headquarters in Madison, WI)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:- Proficiency with Creative Cloud (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles and applications such as Flourish, Tableau, and Figma a plus
- Illustration, animation, and digital marketing skills a plus
- Demonstrated communication, problem-solving, and organizational collaboration skills
- Strong adherence to confidentiality in working with clients and vendors
Remote Work Options:
This position has a work schedule that will initially be 100% in-office. After training is complete, it is at the discretion of the direct manager when the employee may begin a hybrid work schedule.APPLICATION DEADLINE: This position will remain posted until the position is filled.
