They've grown steadily for years and have a strong reputation for excellent customer service and relationship-based selling. They're looking for someone to take over and grow and existing commercial roofing book of business. The company already has strong vendor relationships and an established customer base, but they're looking for someone to proactively seek leads, not "sit back and wait." This is a great opportunity for a candidate to grow the division as the business continues to scale. What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth in the Commercial Roofing Products division
- Identify new markets and business opportunities to expand the commercial customer base
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals
- Support the recruitment, training, and mentorship of a high-performing sales and support team
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide constructive feedback to help team members succeed
- Promote a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, efficiency, and teamwork
- Partner with suppliers to source and maintain a diverse, high-quality range of commercial roofing products
- Monitor inventory levels, pricing, and margins to balance profitability with customer satisfaction
- Stay current on industry trends and innovations to guide informed product decisions
- Contribute to the development and management of the division's budget, including revenue forecasts and expense oversight
- Review financial reports and performance metrics to evaluate results and support data-driven decision-making
- Deliver exceptional service and support throughout the customer journey
- Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, concerns, and issues
- Implement feedback systems to continuously enhance service quality
- Ensure all divisional operations comply with safety regulations and industry standards
- Remain informed on applicable regulations and implement necessary safety protocols and training
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in commercial roofing sales, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and financial goals
- Strong leadership skills and team player with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of commercial building products and industry trends is a must
