General Production Worker – Paint Preparation
We are seeking a skilled General Production Worker to perform paint preparation tasks on large vehicles, such as RVs, motorhomes, and charter buses. Experience in manufacturing or production environments is highly valued. Candidates with at least 6 months of experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare large vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces according to specifications.
- Utilize basic hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete prep and general production tasks.
- Carry out buffing and detailing work to ensure a high-quality finish on all painted surfaces.
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures to maintain consistent output.
- Collaborate with the team and cross-train in additional departments, such as painting and detailing, to support production needs.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of previous production or manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Experience with reading and using a tape measure accurately for assembly tasks.
- Knowledgeable in following quality standards and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and bending.
- Capability to work from ladders safely to access higher areas of large vehicles.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Work Environment
The position is based in a fast-paced production facility focused on large vehicles. The role operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The work is hands-on and physically active, involving the use of standard manufacturing tools and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest City, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $20.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
