A prominent outpatient center in Grass Valley, California, is seeking a dedicated physician to support their diagnostic and mammography services. This position offers a stable Monday Friday schedule with a 9 12 month duration, perfect for a provider seeking a predictable routine in a beautiful location.
The Opportunity Practice in a modern outpatient setting (Building 4) where your expertise in mammography and breast biopsies will be a primary focus.
Clinical Scope: Primarily responsible for diagnostic mammograms and performing breast biopsies (approximately 13 procedures and 255 mammograms per month).
Case Mix: In addition to breast imaging, you will read general radiology studies (CT, MRI, X-ray, US) from the emergency department and inpatient lists. The ability to read PET scans is highly appreciated.
Support & Flexibility: You will be supported by a full team of radiology and ultrasound technicians. For studies outside your comfort zone, the facility utilizes a Teleradiology group (MRG) for backup.
Schedule: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM, Monday Friday. Seeking coverage for 1 2 weeks per month starting in October.
No Call: This position has no on-call or weekend requirements.
Technology: Documentation and image management are handled through Cerner.

Compensation & Travel Hourly Rate: Competitive pay ranging from $600 - $650 per hour.
Holiday Pay: $900 - $975 per hour (1.5x standard rate).
Orientation: Specialized hourly rate for training beyond the first 8 hours.
Travel Support: Full reimbursement for airfare (Economy), lodging (up to 1.5x GSA rate), and rental car ($65 daily cap). Mileage for personal vehicles is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
Candidate Requirements To maintain the high diagnostic standards of this regional health system, candidates must meet the following:
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology is highly preferred.
Licensure: Active California State Medical License is required.
Clinical Proficiency: Must have a proven ability to perform diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies (e.g., wire localizations).
Life Support: Active BLS/ACLS and a valid DEA are required during the credentialing phase.
Background: A clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
Documentation: A current Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) is mandatory at the time of presentation.
