Production Worker
Location: Detroit Lakes, MN
Compensation: $18.50–$20.00 per hour – paid weekly
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire | Full-time
About the Opportunity:
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Production Worker associates for a manufacturing/packaging facility in Detroit Lakes, MN. In this role, you'll help ensure products are packaged correctly, equipment runs smoothly, and the facility stays clean and organized. What You'll Do as a Production Worker:
- Monitor packaging equipment to ensure proper operation throughout the shift
- Notify the Plant Operator of trouble spots or potential issues
- Inspect packaging materials and record any sub-quality materials
- Package products according to company standards
- Palletize finished product and operate the stretch-wrapping machine
- Perform housekeeping duties, including end-of-shift cleanup
- Assist maintenance personnel as needed
- Stage shipments and help load trucks
- Operate forklifts once trained and certified
What You Need to Bring to the Production Worker Role:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. from waist to shoulder height
- Ability to stand for up to 10-hour shifts
- Ability to work around moving production equipment
- Ability to work extra hours when required
- Frequent bending and stair/ladder climbing (up to 120 ft.)
- Comfort working in dusty conditions
- Ability to read labels/signs and follow written or verbal instructions
- Basic math skills and ability to record information accurately
- Reliable transportation to the Detroit Lakes area
- Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings
