Position Overview
Are you a hands-on,
strategic
leader who thrives on turning vision into operational reality? We are seeking a
Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our daily internal business and retail delivery systems.
As our COO, you will act as the operational bridge between our frontline staff and executive leadership, ensuring our branches and digital platforms run seamlessly, securely, and efficiently.
What You Will Do
- Lead Retail DeliveryDirect daily operations for our physical branches and contact center, fostering a culture of exceptional member service.
- Modernize Digital ChannelsManage and enhance online banking, mobile apps, and payment rails (ACH, wires, debit cards) to keep us competitive.
- Ensure Airtight CompliancePartner with regulators to maintain strict compliance with NCUA, BSA/AML, and Regulation E guidelines.
- Manage Technology & VendorsSupervise our IT infrastructure and critical third-party vendor relationships to ensure robust cybersecurity and platform uptime.
- Drive Process InnovationContinuously audit internal workflows to eliminate friction, automate manual tasks, and reduce overhead costs.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience5–7+ years of progressive operational leadership within a financial institution (credit union experience highly preferred).
- EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Graduate of a credit union management school (CUES/CUNA) is a major plus.
- Compliance SavvyStrong working knowledge of NCUA operational regulations, deposit compliance, and risk management.
- Leadership StyleA strategic visionary, who is a collaborative, visible mentor who loves coaching small teams and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves during peak times.
