The Warehouse & Planning Manager at K&S Fort Washington is responsible for leading warehouse operations and end-to-end material planning to support semiconductor equipment manufacturing, including NPI, ramp, and sustaining production. This role ensures material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient warehouse execution to meet aggressive time-to-market, cost, and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations (FTW Site Focus)
- Lead all site warehouse operations including receiving stockroom, kitting, and shipping of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure high inventory accuracy and traceability for critical components (e.g., optics, motion systems, electronics).
- Optimize material flow to support multiple programs/ next-gen platforms, NPI builds, and service demand
- Drive cycle count discipline, inventory reconciliation, and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, export control (ECCN), and quality requirements
Planning & Supply Chain Execution
- Own material planning and readiness to support production schedules, ECO implementation, and demand.
- Drive alignment between demand, supply, and engineering changes (ECOs) to minimize shortages and excess.
- Support NPI builds and ramp planning, ensuring component readiness and risk mitigation.
- Analyze supplier lead times, constraints, and risks, and proactively escalate issues.
- Partner with sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams on BOM readiness, ASLstrategy, and cost optimization
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and develop a team of buyers (if applicable), and warehouse personnel.
- Establish clear KPIs and accountability across warehouse and planning functions.
- Collaborate with:
- Engineering (ECOs, design changes, ASL qualification)
- Procurement (supplier performance, cost reduction)
- Manufacturing (build schedules, constraints)
- Finance (inventory, excess & obsolete management)
- Drive strong communication between FTW and Asia factories and Supply Chain teams
Process Excellence & Digital Transformation
- Leverage Oracle EBS, Teamcenter, and Cognos for planning, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Drive improvements in:
- Planning accuracy (forecast vs. actual)
- Inventory turns and working capital
- ECO execution efficiency
- Standardized processes aligned with APICS and Lean principles
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations and material/production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) – required
- Strong experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), MRP, and inventory control

- Ability to manage supply chain risks, single-source dependencies, and long lead-time materials
- Excellent communication skills for cross-regional alignment – someone at this level will not have executive exposure (for the most part)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor equipment or capital equipment industry preferred
- Exposure to global supply chain (US–Asia coordination)
- Knowledge of optics, motion systems, or precision assemblies supply chain a plus.
