Job Title: CAD DesignerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to generate CNC programs from CAM software and create and modify 3D models using CAD software. This role involves monitoring, documenting, and controlling changes made to CNC machines, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Generate CNC programs from CAM software.
- Create and modify 3D models using CAD software.
- Monitor, document, and control changes made to CNC machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, and specifications.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CAD, CAM, CNC programming, and 3D modeling.
- Experience with blueprint reading and design.
- Strong skills in milling, tooling, WorkNC, and MasterCAM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree in CAD or 2-5 years equivalent experience.
- Experience in CAM, NXIO, and WorkNC for generating 3D models from 2D prints.
- Must provide examples of 3D models created.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
- Fluency in G-Code.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of NX or Catia design software.
- Familiarity with automotive parts.
Work Environment
The role is part of a small team providing CAD/CAM support to the entire plant. Located within a manufacturer of forged crankshafts, the work environment is a desk-based position in a plant floor setting that is hot and dirty. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
