We are looking for an active, floor-focused Electrical Process Engineer to spearhead workflow optimization and assembly enhancements for our cable routing and electro-mechanical lines. In this role, you will be deeply embedded in daily factory operations, partnering directly with assembly technicians, quality control specialists, and electro-mechanics. Your main focus will be advancing Surface Mount Technology (SMT) workflows, supporting box builds, and smoothing the transition for both freshly launched products and legacy equipment. If you thrive on being out on the shop floor rather than behind a desk, this role offers the perfect opportunity to shape our manufacturing layout and scale our automated capabilities.

- Process Architecture & Documentation: Author, validate, and refine step-by-step work instructions, process flows, and capacity layouts for intricate wiring harnesses and electronic enclosures.
- Product Lifecycle Support: Guide new product introductions (NPI) from initial prototype builds into steady-state mass production, while maintaining and improving established heritage lines.
- Factory Expansion & Automation: Design floor plans, specify capital equipment, and help transition traditional manual assembly steps into modern, automated systems.
- Vendor & Cost Coordination: Generate precise labor and material cost estimates for incoming projects and interface with external part suppliers to keep production timelines on track.
Skills / Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Direct experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is highly prioritized, alongside a solid understanding of cable/harness fabrication, electrical systems, and box-build integration.
- Knowledge and understanding of Solidworks and Autocad.
- Hands-on Background: Proven track record working directly with physical components, including sheet metal, 3D-printed parts, machined components, welding, and thermal assemblies.
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (or equivalent technical field) paired with at least 3 years of engineering experience in an active electro-mechanical production environment.
- Blueprints & Materials: Advanced capability reading industrial blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and analyzing material behaviors for various steels, aluminum alloys, and polymers.
- Operational Methodology: Practical familiarity with Lean Manufacturing framework or Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and optimize throughput.
What's in It for You
- Dynamic Work Environment: Escape the cubicle with a highly collaborative, active role where you see the immediate impact of your engineering solutions on the shop floor.
- High-Visibility Projects: Take ownership of major factory expansion plans, layout modifications, and automation upgrades that directly influence company grwth.
- Cross-Functional Impact: Broaden your leadership skills by mentoring technicians and collaborating across quality, engineering, and supply chain departments.
