Job Summary
The Title VI Coordinator provides strategic leadership for the University's response to complaints of harassment and discrimination based on the protected identity categories of race, color, and national origin. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Engagement and Wellbeing, this position directs the institutional framework for Title VI civil rights compliance, serves as the University's subject-matter expert on federal and state anti-discrimination laws, and leads comprehensive initiatives to foster an inclusive campus environment.
Essential Functions
Directs Title VI compliance and civil rights policy development, serving as chief advisor to leadership on risk mitigation and complaint resolution procedures
Oversees informal resolution programs, complaint intake, supportive measures, and leads institutional assessment to identify patterns of discrimination and transform campus climate
Develops and delivers University-wide civil rights training and serves as primary liaison across departments to advance compliance and inclusion goals
Physical Effort
Duties are primarily sedentary. Must be able to use a computer at a desk or similar workstation, and travel to on-campus meetings as needed.
