Position Title: Data Scientist
Dynamis is seeking a Data Scientist to support Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in Northern, VA. The role will provide managers, stakeholders, and executives with modeling, visualizations, automation, actionable insights, subject matter expertise, and risk management related to global trade and counterproliferation investigations.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate data and related processes utilized by HSI personnel to identify opportunities for automation, exploratory research, modeling, and data tools.
- Provide the Government with adhoc and productized reporting and analytic capabilities.
- Develop in accordance with HSI data governance and enforce data integrity.
- Identify trends, patterns, and, relationships for anti-weapons proliferation and prioritizing enforcement approaches.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment and promote interoperability of solutions as directed by the Government.
- Deliver accurate, complete, and timely data to users across the organization.
- Provide actionable insights to decision makers with repeatable methods.
- Ability to work onsite at government facility in Crystal City, VA.
Requirements:- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred)
- Flexible self-starter capable of self-teaching
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited University in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics in support of knowledge discovery/link analysis for law enforcement purposes.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in data science or related field.
- Proficiency with programming languages (i.e. Python, C, C+ +, Java)
- Experience using data frameworks and visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Preferred:- Top Secret Clearance
- Proficiency with Python, Git, and SQL
- Proficiency with Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform or similar low-code platforms
- Proficiency with geospatial methods and platforms
- Full stack
