Compensation: $25/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. This role will be hybrid and will be on-site 2-3 days/week.

Our client is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to join their collaborative and people-focused team! In this role, you'll help create a positive employee experience by supporting key areas including benefits, onboarding and offboarding, employee engagement, performance management, career development, recognition, and recruiting. This position plays an important role in keeping day-to-day People & Culture operations running smoothly through employee record management, team support, and participation in projects and audits that help drive the organization forward.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the People & Culture team with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and events, processing mail, maintaining records, and coordinating agendas.
- Provide first-level support for HR systems, including the HRIS, performance management platform, and applicant tracking system.
- Enter employee updates into HR systems and assist with reporting, audits, and other data-related projects.
- Update and maintain People & Culture documents, including the Employee Handbook, benefits materials, job descriptions, and employee status change forms.
- Maintain the People & Culture intranet site and support internal employee communications.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions via People & Culture communication channels, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members as needed.
- Stay informed on department initiatives to effectively support employee and organizational needs.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and workplace DEI projects.
- Support organizational development programs by scheduling and coordinating career and leadership trainings, ordering supplies/catering, maintaining career development resources, and tracking timelines.
- Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, conducting phone screens, running reference/background checks, and posting job advertisements.
- Support annual department initiatives, including open enrollment, performance review cycles, and compliance audits.
- Provide backup support for team members during high-volume or peak periods.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 2 years of experience working in an administrative role using technology to provide excellent customer service.
- 1 year of experience working within a Human Resources department supporting multiple functions.
- Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Laws, HR principles, processes, and practices.
- SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite), with the ability to learn new software and demonstrate services through the use of technology.
- Strong ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail and performing follow-through on problems through resolution.
- Excellent communication skills, including effective listening, speaking, problem-solving, and tact in dealing with internal and external members and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Must be reliable and dependable in being at work, being on time, and meeting deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and exercise good judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with members, supervisors, and staff.
