Relocation package available Summary: Our award-winning client is seeking a Boiler Operator to join their team. Responsible for overseeing the Energy Center operations, ensuring optimal production, quantity, and quality through continuous monitoring of plant processes and equipment. Operates on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, aligning with company policies and objectives. Responsibilities:
- Work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective plant operation.
- Regularly communicate with operators to maintain consistent operations across shifts.
- Adhere to plant policies and procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Contribute to updating operating procedures and training manuals for process operations.
- Monitor and control plant operations, working with DCS & PLC control systems.
- Take daily logs on all plant equipment, especially Boilers, Dryers, Water treatment, and auxiliary equipment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and parameters for process equipment.
- Field monitor equipment and troubleshoot plant operation issues.
- Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of process areas and equipment.
- Contribute to grain handling/shipping and receiving areas of the plant.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance program, coordinating with the QA lab, sampling, testing process streams, and maintaining QA records.
- Understand and interpret QA results, taking appropriate action when required.
- Engage in the Plant Maintenance program, coordinating with the maintenance department for work in process areas.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities and assist maintenance technicians in repairs and troubleshooting.
- Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Contribute to the plant safety program, following procedures.
- Participate in programs ensuring plant cleanliness and monitoring process chemical inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have: Food, ethanol or liquid processing experience
- Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must possess a State of Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or a higher equivalent.
- Proficient in basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with computerized maintenance management systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills. Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum degree from a two-year college or a Technical/Vocational school, military background, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Working Environment:
- a. Regular exposure to work near moving mechanical parts.
- b. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, climbing ladders, working in high and precarious places, and outdoor weather conditions. Boiler Operators must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- c. Periodic exposure to high noise environments.
