Construction Safety Manager

We are partnering with a well-established commercial construction organization seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support projects throughout the Chicago area.
This role is responsible for leading jobsite safety initiatives, conducting site inspections, managing safety programs, training field personnel, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
The ideal candidate has construction safety experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to creating safe and productive jobsites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and administer project safety programs
- Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Facilitate safety meetings, training, and orientations
- Perform accident investigations and incident reporting
- Support project teams with hazard analysis and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
- Assist with permit management and safety documentation
- Partner with project management and field leadership teams
- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction safety experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CHST certification preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work on active construction sites and climb stairs/ladders as needed
